About Us

Chris Lawrence
Chris has worked extensively in digital inclusion in Ayrshire, Tayside, Lanarkshire and Renfewshire. 

Chris is experienced in the provision of impartial IT advice and support, having worked as a business adviser in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He has also significant experience in advising about and designing and building databases. He also runs regular workshops considering the practical implications of Data Protection for small organisations.

Within Ayrshire, he established an IT forum for trainers and others working with the digitally excluded, to share ideas and best practice and to offer mutual support. Chris has presented at workshops at the Digital Inclusion Practitioners’ events held by the Scottish Executive Digital Champions team and other meetings and conferences.

Chris is very experienced in the operation of ppvote equipment, and the facilitation of sessions using ppvote; and also runs training sessions on its use.  

He is also experienced in facilitating longer term business planning, review and development processes.

Production Manager at Nestlé (UK) Ltd, Girvan
Mill Planner at Caledonian Paper, Irvine
Production Manager at British Dental Floss, Girvan
Industrial Engineer at Wrangler Jeans, Falkirk
Chemical Engineer at ICI, Stevenston and Grangemouth.

Voluntary experience includes

Former Chair of Girvan Community Council and Invergarven School Board, Girvan (a special educational needs school)
Setting up a web site for the Girvan community. 

Chris was born in 1959, and has a BA Honours Degree and Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
Nicola is responsible for the conference and event management services, and has organised both small and large events at a wide variety of venues in Scotland.

Nicola is experienced in research and evaluation work, and writes and compiles background papers and reports for projects.

Previous experience includes

Administration Manager for Carrick Housing Association Ltd
Research Assistant, Department of Applied Physics, University of Strathclyde.

Community activities include

Musician at local churches
Organist/pianist for weddings and funerals. 

Nicola was born in 1960, and has a BA Honours Degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Cambridge. She also holds the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Private Secretary’s Diploma.
